GreenQube Attends Cloud Computing Expo West

We’ve probably all heard the phrase, "Go West, young man"; words from American author Horace Greeley concerning America's expansion westward.   Well, it was good advice 150 years ago, and we think just as good today.  In fact, GreenQube and thousands of others are headed west this week, specifically to Santa Clara CA for the 13th Annual Cloud Expo, “THE” conference where the Cloud meets Big Data.
The fact is recent IDC research shows that worldwide spending on cloud services will grow almost threefold, reaching $44.2 billion by 2013. And a recent Gartner report predicts that the volume of enterprise data overall will increase by a phenomenal 650% over the next five years.  With GreenQube’s partnership with Citrix and our cutting edge Cloud Workspace, what better place to network with our Partners and Customers.  Therefore, we hope to see you out as GreenQube will have both our CEO Hunter McFadden and VP of Strategic Partnerships Preston Rose, along with other members of the Citrix CSP Team there to meet you and demo our product.
In addition, at the Expo, GreenQube has chosen to join forces with SHI this week (Cloud Expo’s 2013 West Diamond Sponsor) and will be participating in their booth during the week.  SHI is a $4 billion+ global provider of information technology products and services and works closely with GreenQube and Citrix in the Cloud Workspace market.  If you plan to head out, give us a call at 866.343.1758 and let us know.  The great news is we have a complementary VIP pass available for those that can make it so hope to see you there.

Synergy 2013 Partner Reception

GreenQube is proud to announce a reception at Citrix Synergy 2013 in Anaheim, CA on May 21, 2013.

Does anyone remember the reselling craze for web hosting a few years back? If you have no idea what I am talking about then you missed a stepping stone into making some good monthly money. It can be a huge profit center and it works great! It’s a program called Citrix White Label Provider. It utilizes the same idea as cloud computing, but at a better angle. I am sure you have heard of cloud computing or hosted desktop service provider. Cloud Computing is not just a storage of large data, its infrastructure is also designed for the user to enjoy a better processing capacity and share this data on multiple devices at the same time so long as these devices are able to access a third party system via the internet. It’s like having a super computer that does all the heavy lifting for you. A Citrix White Label Provider has the same capability and more!

So, why the white flags all over?

Well, I guess unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you noticed that Apple is back in the headlines again. Shares are up 80% in just the last year, they’ve passed Exxon as the world’s most valuable company, they’re getting ready to pay out dividends of about 9.9 Billion and they just sold 3 million new iPads in a grand total of - get this - 3 days. Hey, 1 mil a day - not too shabby.

NASA could benefit from Workshifting

Well, here we go again.  This time it was NASA, the one agency in the US Government that we like to root for, really dropped the ball.  Today it was disclosed that NASA reported a "loss or theft" of 48 devices within a 2 year span, and included a laptop containing algorithms used to command and control the International Space Station.
